Start Services Here

At Cedar & Sage Therapy, we offer comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Our goal is to help you better understand yourself or your loved one’s unique strengths, challenges, and needs so that we can guide treatment, support, and next steps with clarity and care.

What Is Psychological Testing?

Psychological and neuropsychological testing involves a series of standardized assessments designed to understand how a person thinks, learns, remembers, and feels. Testing can provide valuable insight into emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and neurological functioning—helping to answer questions such as Why am I struggling with focus? or What kind of support does my child need at school?

Conditions We Assess

Our evaluations can help identify and clarify a wide range of concerns, including:

  • ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Learning and Cognitive Disorders

  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

  • Dementia and Memory Concerns

  • Developmental and Emotional Disorders

  • Other psychological and neurocognitive issues

Our Process

We believe in making the testing process supportive, collaborative, and transparent. Each evaluation typically includes:

  1. Initial Intake Session (90 minutes) – A comprehensive clinical interview to gather history, discuss current concerns, and determine which assessments are most appropriate.

  2. Testing Sessions (1-8 hours required) - Administration of standardized tests assessing attention, memory, problem-solving, academic skills, mood, personality, and more (as appropriate).

  3. Scoring & Interpretation (1-2 required) - Our clinician carefully analyzes test data to develop a clear, detailed understanding of results.

  4. Report & Feedback Session (60 minutes) - You’ll receive a written report and a dedicated session to review the findings, recommendations, and next steps for treatment, school, or medical care.

Cost Transparency & Insurance Support

We believe clients should always know what to expect—both clinically and financially. Before any services are rendered, our team will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate outlining your expected charges based on your individualized testing plan. This ensures full transparency and helps you make informed decisions about your care.

We are currently a private pay and out-of-network provider. We do not bill insurance directly. However, we will provide you with a detailed superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits.

If you plan to use insurance, our staff will also help verify your out-of-network benefits and calculate your estimated reimbursement amount. We’ll walk you through the process so you understand your coverage and payment options before beginning testing.
