Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you accept insurance?

We do accept both private and commercial insurance at Cedar & Sage Therapy. If you are interested in becoming a patient, please fill out the New Patient Pre-Registration Form here.

Once C&S staff receives your submission, we will verify your insurance benefits. Knowing your benefits will help us to determine the C&S providers that you are able to see.

From there, our new patient coordinator will follow up with next steps.

  • Can I do sessions via Telehealth?

Yes, we offer sessions via telehealth. When scheduling your first visit, you can identify your preference with our patient care coordinator. Future visits can be changed to in person or online to accommodate your needs.

For children under 10, telehealth sessions are not recommended as the primary form of sessions for therapy.

  • Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?

Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. We do offer evening appointments available as late as 7 PM, but these appointments are in very high demand and cannot be guaranteed.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you give us a 24 hour notice if you are unable to make your appointment.

If you no-show or late-cancel after the 24 hour mark, you will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.

After two no shows or late-cancellations, you may be at risk of being discharged from services.

  • Can I request a specific therapist or provider?

Yes, you can request a specific therapist or provider, provided their schedule allows for it. Please note that some of our providers may have waitlists, so availability can vary.

  • Who provides medication management?

We have Physician Assistants (PAs) on our team who provide medication management services. They work closely with our licensed clinicians to ensure that patients receive comprehensive care tailored to their specific mental health needs. Our PAs are trained to assess symptoms, prescribe medications, and monitor treatment progress, making them an integral part of our holistic approach to mental health treatment.
