Meet Patrick Burke, Intern
Compassionate Support for Adults Through Life’s Transitions
Hi, I’m Patrick. I’m a clinical therapist intern dedicated to walking alongside adults through some of life’s most difficult and meaningful moments.
Life is full of transitions that can stretch us emotionally, mentally, and spiritually — especially when facing illness, loss, the end of life, or grief. My goal in therapy is to offer a grounding, compassionate presence that helps you feel supported, understood, and respected in every part of your experience.
I believe in creating a calm, nonjudgmental environment where you are invited to explore your feelings and find strength within yourself.
Who I Work With
I specialize in supporting adults navigating:
Grief and loss
Illness and end-of-life transitions
Caregiving stress and emotional overwhelm
Life changes that bring uncertainty or emotional pain
The need for connection, reflection, and emotional processing
Through my work in hospice care, I’ve developed a deep respect for the courage it takes to face life’s hardest moments — and a commitment to providing care that honors your dignity and humanity.
What Therapy With Me Is Like
In sessions with me, you can expect a therapeutic space that is:
Warm, calm, and attuned to your needs
Centered on your lived experience and values
Grounded in empathy, active listening, and presence
Supportive of meaningful emotional work
Whether you’re looking for support around grief, life transitions, or navigating complex emotions, my approach focuses on helping you feel centered and empowered in your own journey.
Experience in Hospice & Adult Care
My background in hospice care has shaped my approach to therapy in profound ways. Through that work, I’ve learned:
To be fully present with individuals during emotional intensity
To honor diverse lived experiences and life stories
To help clients find meaning, connection, and resilience
To support emotional processing with sensitivity and respect
I draw from trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based approaches that adapt to the unique needs of each individual.
A Heartfelt, Person-Centered Approach
I believe that therapy should be an empowering experience — one where you feel safe to express what’s true for you, without pressure or judgment. You deserve care that honors your dignity and helps you navigate life with presence and courage.
I’m here to walk with you through it all — the hard moments, the questions, and the reflections that shape your story.
