Meet Anna Delgado, Intern

Supportive, Grounded Care for Children, Adolescents, & Individuals

Anna Delgado, counseling intern at cedar and sage therapy

Hi, I’m Anna. I’m a counseling intern passionate about supporting individuals and families with compassion, curiosity, and care.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step — especially when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or heavy. Whether you’re seeking support for your child, your teen, or yourself, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and understood from the very beginning.

I believe healing begins in relationship, and I strive to offer therapy that feels approachable, supportive, and human.

Who I Work With

I work with children, adolescents, and individuals who may be experiencing:

  • Big emotions that feel hard to manage or explain

  • Stress, anxiety, or overwhelm related to life circumstances

  • Difficulties with behavior, relationships, or emotional regulation

  • Challenges connected to family changes, school, or transitions

  • A desire for support, understanding, and personal growth

My background in community mental health has shaped my belief that everyone deserves access to compassionate, affirming care — no matter their story.

What Therapy With Me Is Like

In sessions with me, you can expect a therapeutic environment that is:

  • Warm, patient, and nonjudgmental

  • Collaborative and strengths-based

  • Developmentally appropriate and tailored to your needs

  • Grounded in evidence-based practices

I understand that opening up can take time, and I honor each client’s pace. Whether through conversation, creative expression, or play-based approaches, I work to meet clients where they are and help them feel supported every step of the way.

Working With Children & Adolescents

Children and teens often communicate in ways that go beyond words. I enjoy working with young clients using approaches that feel natural and engaging, including:

  • Play-based and creative interventions

  • Emotional identification and regulation skills

  • Support around behavior, confidence, and self-expression

  • Collaboration with caregivers to support growth outside of sessions

My goal is to help children and teens feel safe enough to be themselves — and empowered enough to grow.

My Training & Experience

I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Counseling and am completing my clinical training under the supervision of a licensed clinician. I bring experience from community mental health settings, where I have worked with diverse populations and a wide range of needs.

This background has strengthened my ability to remain flexible, compassionate, and attentive to the unique experiences each client brings into the room.

A Supportive, Whole-Person Approach

I believe therapy should honor the whole person — emotions, experiences, strengths, and challenges alike. I aim to create a space where clients feel:

  • Seen and heard

  • Supported without pressure or judgment

  • Encouraged to build insight and resilience

  • Hopeful about the possibility of change

You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin. Therapy is a place to explore, learn, and grow — together.

Let’s Take the Next Step Together

Reaching out for support is a meaningful act of courage. Whether you’re seeking care for yourself or your child, I would be honored to walk alongside you during this season.
